We're excited to announce a new film partnership, working with Rio Swatton again.
About DEERSTALKER
Influenced by East Anglian folklore, DEERSTALKER is a very unique kind of horror that leans heavily into its haunting and unsettling atmosphere. The short film tells the story of Dean, a desperate man searching for his missing dog, Joey. Dean’s search takes him far off the beaten path where he stumbles upon the den of a long-forgotten predator.
About the Director
Director Rio Swatton is a passionate neurodivergent filmmaker from Colchester. Rio’s filmmaking journey began making home movies with a pocket camera and iMovie when he was 13 years old. During his film studies at the Colchester Institute, he made his debut as a director with his comedy short Two-Man Rule in 2022, followed up by mockumentary Urban Legends in 2024. Now, Rio is making a shift to the horror genre with his new short film DEERSTALKER, produced under a new name: Cinrio Studios.

It leans into the atmosphere and really elevates the themes of the story, and it’s very different from what you’d expect from a conventional horror soundtrack.
